How to Train My Dog - Praising
A lot of people like to ask, what is the number one tip on how to train my dog. I always answer, praising. Praising is very effective whether it is good or bad. If you have kids, think about when your kids were toddlers. Sure they could not speak and they did not know what you were saying but praising worked. Guess what, it works with puppies too.
When you are working on your Labrador training make sure you are praising your dog with verbal commands. You can start your praising when your puppies are young. This should be the first thing they learn. It may sound silly to emphasize the praising, but it is very important. Once the dog understands the ‘Yes’/‘No’, ‘Good Doggie’/’Bad Doggie’ commands it will make future trainings easier. So be sure you are doing it everyday, the rewards will show later.
